In Atchuvely, a child’s education often begins with empty hands and hopeful eyes. For many families, just sending their children to school is a struggle. Schoolbags, pencils, notebooks — things most take for granted — are often out of reach for parents who work as daily labourers or market helpers, barely earning enough to feed their families.
That’s why the AKAS Foundation launched the Primary School Support Project — to ensure that no child is left behind at the very start of their educational journey. We provide starter packs each year, filled with essentials like bags, books, pencils, rulers, and more. These small but powerful items allow children to enter the classroom with confidence and dignity.
Together, these schools serve hundreds of children. Many of these students come from homes where their parents never had the chance to complete school themselves. Now, they dream of something better for their children — and your support can help make that dream real.

“Some of these children arrive at school with nothing. When they receive a schoolbag and books, their faces light up. They feel equal. They feel seen. It makes all the difference.” — Teacher, Arulnanthy Vidyalayam
If Atchuvely was your beginning, you’ll remember the challenges — the simple classrooms, the determined students, and families doing their best with so little. Now, you have the chance to give back and help change the story for the next generation.
